This post is being written late today, so I think I'll let the news go for today. Maybe I'll get into it heavy tomorrow.

In the above picture, the gentlemen are using 1898 Krag rifles, chambered in .30-40 Krag.

I'm going to stick with some generalities about how I look at guns. As I mentioned yesterday, I have my favorites in firearms. Here's how I look at them. First, I have to like the looks of the gun, be it handgun , rifle, or shotgun. I have certain preferences that may not match other people's. Then, it's how it feels while holding in different positions. While holding it I'm looking at the sights. Now on some guns, the sights can be easily changed. If an optical sight is going to be installed, then the factory sights aren't important. Then while I'm ding all that, I can feel the weight. This all really takes less time to do, then to describe it. Of course, firing it is the true test to see if it makes the grade. People's hands are different, along with how they see the sights. Some guns just feel right and some don't. Recoil is also felt differently. There are other considerations like: does it come in the caliber you're thinking about, how many rounds does it hold. If it's an autoloader, how many magazines (mags) come with it, and how costly are additional mags. Some people may want to get different grips, which may be easier for some models. There are other considerations to think about if you shoot lefthanded. All of this is why you need to find the gun that works for you and not just go with something that works for someone else.

I'm closing for now and we'll talk about things tomorrow. Take care and be safe.
