Some Comments on The News

Here are some of my comments on certain news items.

The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence received between $350,000 and $1,000,000 from the Payroll Protection Program. The Gifford Law Center received between $150,000 and $300,000 from the same program. Now wait, those two groups would get rid of the Second Amendment if they could and the Government is giving them money to do so? It seems these type of groups have different segments of their group and these segments can get different tax ratings. This is completely wrong. Our money should not go to groups that are trying to remove parts of the Constitution. I imagine some other, not so good, groups have received the same funding. A very bad situation.

Lori Lightfoot, the Mayor of Chicago, either doesn't know how the current background checks work or she is deliberately lying. She is blaming the system for the gun violence in Chicago. Another load of crap. That's how these Democrats work. Either they don't know what they are talking about or they intentionally. I don't know which it is.

The Newport News (VA) city council is going to decide today whether they will ban guns in most public places. VA has gone to the dark side since the Democrat Mayor and Democrat controlled state legislature gained control. I know some people who live there and I here from them what is really happening. A good state to move away from.

I see a report that a squirrel was found with bubonic plague in CO. Hopefully, it won't become a problem.

I see Biden wants a carbon free environment by 2035. Now, where is the money going to come from? I bet you have already figured that out. He'll raise taxes, not just on businesses, but on everyone. There are wind generator farms sitting there deteriorating, not working in our country. Why, because they have not lived up to the expectations placed on them. I've read the cost is very high to dismantle the turbines and the recycle benefit is nil. So, no one seems to want to do it. But, we surely need more. And, he wants to retrofit existing buildings to meet his standards. I would say an almost impossible task. Of course Cortez (AOC) and her cohorts are behind it. He also wants to plug abandoned oil and gas wells. From what I know, if the well is truly abandoned, I believe there are already laws that require that they be plugged. It all sounds good to his followers.

The picture above shows some nice handguns. However, they are seldom used to commit crimes. But, I'm sure there are some people who would get rid of them anyway.
