It's Getting Deep

The BS is getting deep. Now, we can't have statues of former president Teddy Roosevelt, Francis Scott Key, or former president Grant. These people are out of control and as some Mayors and Governors seem to not care about their towns, states, or country, Trump needs to do something. Now, no matter what Trump does, it's going to upset someone. He needs to do what is right and not worry about what the problem people think. Leaders often have to make decisions that are not popular with everyone. That just goes with the job. I heard it stated today that the normal citizen (who does not have an axe to grind with the police) do not want the police departments defunded or disbanded. We'll see what happens.

I mentioned that I would discuss guns and ammo. Now, for the record, I am not a Prepper, nor do I belong to some fringe antigovernment group. I'm just a normal person that happens to like and uses guns. We live on the edge of a tornado and hurricane area and yes we do have some food put aside and also a generator. The trees around our house withstood Katrina, so I really don't worry about it. However, I do have guns for various critters that might come calling.

I will give you some of my own thoughts about guns, however, if you're going to get one, do the research. There are indoor shooting ranges that will rent you a gun, so you can fire it and see how it feels. Next, most gun shops will let you hold the guns they sell. At least you can feel them in your hand. In fact, I wouldn't do business with a shop that wouldn't let me hold what ever I wanted. As I stated, I can give you thoughts and recommendations, but I won't say that you have to get such and such. What works for me, may not work for you. Some gun shops have very informed sale people and they can give you some insights. Then there are the ones that really don't know much. One caution, just because some one is, or was a military member, or is or was in law enforcement, does not mean they really know guns. I have some friends that read this blog, that were in those professions, and do know what they are talking about. As I have said before everyone has their favorites and I'm no exception. I have a friend that has a custom gun shop plus a retail store. He gets to handle about everything that come through the store and I listen to what he has to say about things. There isn't much inventory in the town I live to handle everything.
