I Found Some Ammo Today!

We stopped at the Billings Cabela's store and I bought some ammo. Three boxes of 10mm fmjfp, even though my 10mm hasn't been built yet (still in the que somewhere). I have the components, but I don't want to load up any 10mm yet, as I need the gun to make sure the load will fit the magazine and the chamber. It's Herter's 180 gr. I would have preferred 200 gr, but you take what you can find. An employee told me he had put it out this morning. I also got two boxes of .40 S&W, even though I don't have a gun for it. I know people who do and I can sell it to them (at what I paid) or maybe trade it for something. Also bought a couple of boxes of .22WMR. I didn't see any 9mm or 5.56. In fact, a lot of empty shelves in the store. I'll say again, if you see it, you should get some. Who knows how this ammo shortage will play out.
I see the Chicago Mayor is still bad mouthing Trump's decision to send Federal Officers in to her city. That's after the "protestors" tried to burn down a federal courthouse. Fifty five straight nights of demonstrations, proving that the Mayor won't or can't protect Federal property or any other property.
I posted last night that seventeen people were shot in Chicago last night. It looks like the number has been reduced to 15, but still unacceptable.
I created a YouTube channel last night and I will start using it when I get home. I'll still post on the blog. Somethings will be easier to show on YouTube.
It's too bad the Liberals are using schools to help defeat Trump. Using kids as pawns is just unacceptable and parents should be screaming about it. Kids need to get back to school and it can be done in a safe manner. Different school districts are going to need to do things differently, as one size will not fit all. If the school boards can't figure it out, I bet the parents can.
One more night on the road and we will be at our destination. I'm glad as I'm getting tired of driving.
I saw an article in the news feed about using lever action rifles for defense. It may not be the best thing, but if it is the only thing you have, it will definitely work. Rifles chambered in .357 mag and .44 mag are good ones for home defense. Those chambered it .30-30, .32 Special, and .35 Remington will have a little more recoil impeding quick follow up shoots, but will still work fine. The author was worried about over penetration, but it depends on a lot of variables for that. I think defending one's property or family is the important thing to worry about.
That's it for now. As always take care and stay safe.
