Here's A Picture Of What I Carry Sometimes.

This is the gun I was talking about yesterday. It fits in the front pocket of my jeans and doesn't snag due to the enclosed hammer and ramp front sight. It's a five shot .38 and is very light. It is said to weigh 14.6 ounces empty. With a 1 & 7/8 inch barrel and a groove in the frame for a rear sight, it's a close quarters weapon. It is built on what S&W calls their J frame. I have another one that is all steel and has the exposed hammer. It was engraved and reblued by Gary Reeder. The guns are rated for +P ammo, but I don't have those in mine. I have Winchester 125 gr. FMJFP in both. I happen to have Winchester in them, but there are other brands out there. I also have a third one that has the shrouded hammer. I'll look for a picture of one like that. As I have said before, I will tell you what I have and maybe why, but I'm not going to tell you what's best for you. I get enough emails telling me that and I don't like it. I'll give you suggestions, but you have to make up your own mine. Also, you can find a youtube video on just about anything I discuss concerning guns. They may not agree with me, but you can see the gun in action. Just remember, we all have our favorites and we may not be as unbiased as we think we are.

Moving on. I read that Jake Trapper at CNN has called the GOP the party of deranged bigots. I'm getting tired of being called theses names just because I don't agree with them. So far, I'm a deranged bigot, a terrorist (because I wear a Boogaloo t-shirt), a racist because I say that all lives matter, a deplorable and who knows what else I've forgotten. I may be all of those things (I'm not really), but at least I'm an American, which is more than I think those people are. I would have no trouble looking these people in the eye and telling them that.

Well, we had some thunder, but not much rain today. It kept the temperature down though.

It's nice here as the TV isn't on and I can't hear anything about the Democratic convention.

I did a little looking around on the internet for primers today. Plenty of shotgun type, but not much of anything else. The bidding on Gun Broker, for them, has gotten out of hand. Some very high bids.
