Another Quick Day

For you northerners that don't know what theses are, they're Crawfish. Originally called mud bugs, the name didn't sound very appealing, so the name was changed. We're from the north and still call them crawdads. These were boiled and were very tasty.

We went out to dinner today and I put a S&W Airweight in my pocket. It is a five shot, enclosed hammer, .38 revolver. It may not be the best gun to have, but it beats a sharp stick. Don't kid yourself, the .38 round will kill some one. It certainly is a short distance proposition, but that is alright. I'll look and see if I can find a picture and put it on tomorrow.

Goodyear came out and said that workers couldn't wear anything that had Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, or MAGA Trump articles. But now wait, BLM, and Gay Pride was acceptable. I read that Goodyear stock went down a little and that is good. I know that me not buying Goodyear products won't change their bottom line, but I'll feel better.

It seems the ammo shortage is hit and miss in some areas. I'm hearing that some people still find some. Of course, a lot of what is out there has a jacked up price. There will always be people who will rake advantage of others.

I bought another pistol last night. A BB Tech nine mil made in Austria. I'm not sure the company is still in business. I'll let you know how it works out.

I bought a shotgun for the wife and even though it is a youth model, the stock is too long. I'm going to have a gunsmith look at it and see if the synthetic stock can be shortened. If not, I'll have to get a wood replacement and have it shortened. I couldn't find the model that I really wanted to get her. It is a Mossberg .410 pump. The .410 will work on someone at the distances that are considered self defense shootings. I know a lot of people talk about larger gauges and double 00 buckshot. But shells loaded with 4s and 2s will work for home protection. I guess I just don't fit in with some of the experts.

I've intentionally stayed away from Fox News today. I heard enough yesterday and it will still be the same old thing today.
