Another Day Gone

Sometimes it's hard to match the title to the picture. So, I didn't try very hard today. My wife made this table to put our karaoke equipment on. She's very good at wood working. Much better than I am.

The time seemed to go by very fast today. We did have some company and that probably contributed to the feeling.

As it sit and write this post tonight, I can here Fox News discussing the Democratic Convention. Apparently, Kasich and Sanders couldn't see the same vision for the party. That's too bad. I hope Kasich ruined his political career. A Republican speaking at a Democrat function isn't a Republican. I guess he's been lying for years. Michelle Obama also seems to have forgotten that the facilities used to house illegal children coming into the country were built during her husband's administration. Selective history must be nice.

I can see mass problems with the mail in voting. Absentee ballots are one thing, but millions of mail in ballots will tax the USPS beyond what it can handle. A trial run was done in Philly and it didn't work.

The Democratic party wants to get your guns one way or another. Their platform has such things as outlawing AR-15 type rifles and standard capacity magazines, horrendous taxes on firearms and a lot of other things they will try to get away with if elected. A NY state senator wants to outlaw the manufacturing of firearms. The list just goes on and on.

The Oregon state police are pulling out of Portland. They came in to take the place of Federal officers to guard the Federal courthouse. The bad people aren't being arrested and/or prosecuted and the State Police are tired of it. It's really too bad.
